Interior design and the e-prescription

Pharmacy equipment in transition

The e-prescription is not only a turning point for processes in the front office; changes in requirements can also be expected in the back office. The number of advance orders may increase massively due to digitalization and the introduction of electronic prescriptions, while additional services such as vaccinations may also come into focus at the same time. This will also bring about job relocation – because flexibility is the magic word here.

The pharmacy of the future: the dispensary will have a high-quality, flexible design

The back office at a glance

The tasks are relocated from the sales desk to the back office and are designed for consulting by telephone, video conferencing and merchandise picking (items to be sent / to be picked up).

Consulting

Consultation takes place remotely by telephone, chat, or video conference. A separate workstation is set up in the back office to avoid interrupting the processes in the dispensary.

Warehouse

The dispensing robots store not only individual drugs; the Click & Collect items are also stored there and delivered via a pickup terminal.

Items to be sent or picked up

These items are prepared at ergonomic workstations in the back office. Height-adjustable tables should be a standard feature as well as pleasant lighting.

New areas for the dispensary

In the front office, changing customer demands prevail, ranging from the focus on products to a demand for healthcare services. A contemporary and flexible dispensary design is becoming increasingly important today.

In the dispensary

A high-quality design with good lighting is the key here. The number of sales tables can be reduced, the area for non-prescription items upgraded, and an additional service counter may also be helpful.

Services

The offer of additional health services such as vaccinations, cosmetic treatments and acupuncture attracts new customers to the pharmacy. Flexible room modules can provide the necessary discretion here.

Events & functions

Show your pharmacy to prospective customers in a new light through evening events or open days. Sliding shelf elements and separable areas provide the necessary space.
