“Our goal is to offer every pharmacy the chance to automate its dispensary. By expanding the portfolio for our Smart™ series model, we are taking the first important step towards achieving this” explains Jonas Kaiser, Global Marketing Director at BD Rowa. “For us, just like a copier or a cash register system is now, a picking system will be a standard piece of equipment in every pharmacy in the future. Our solutions ensure pharmacies are well-prepared for the challenges of tomorrow today, including e-prescriptions, Click & Collect and other Click & Delivery models.”
Addition to the Smart™ portfolio
A total of three new sizes will be added to the Smart™ portfolio. The series model uses technology from the successful Vmax™ series. For this, the standards of the established platform were defined and combined to form an automated dispensing system. Overall, customers benefit from the experience of a technology that is now used by more than 8,600 customers worldwide.
Well-developed service network
As well as a reliable and high-quality solution, customers also benefit from a well-developed service network. For example, a telephone hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Ninety-eight percent of queries can be resolved via the hotline. For the remaining two percent, a service technician can be despatched to the pharmacy within a guaranteed time of four hours to deal with the issue. “Our service is extremely important to us. That’s why we offer our customers rapid support. This not only includes solving technical problems, but also conducting regular customer visits for maintaining the system, instruction, and providing training and advice to our customers. This way we can ensure that pharmacy teams are always in the best possible position,” explains Jonas Kaiser.
The new models in the Smart™ range are expected to be available worldwide at the end of 2019, with prices starting from EUR 54,990.
